Growing up on a farm in Herefordshire, I have always felt close to nature. I have sketched and painted from an early age. After completing a degree in art and educational psychology at Reading, I became a teacher and have lived in many parts of the Midlands, eventually settling in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
During this time, I have worked with watercolours, acrylics and pastels, choosing to focus on subjects from the natural world, including flowers, landscapes and some abstract. I especially like working with colour and texture, particularly with close ups of flowers.
I take pleasure in painting commissions. My subject matter so far has included houses, gardens and flowers.
